I am extremely disappointed with this hotel. One of the cleaning ladies threw out some of my medication. I explained that to the front desk employees and they were absolutely no help. They basically told me that their workers don’t throw things away and that I needed to keep checking the room. The room is not that big. I checked every inch of the room and the medicine was gone. I had the medicine previous to the housekeeping staff going into my room to clean up. There is no way that front desk employee should have responded the way she did. No one offered to help pay for my medication and no one was of any assistance when I explained that I needed the medication for my severe headaches. At this point, I don’t want anyone coming to clean my room at all if the staff are randomly throwing away things that isn’t garbage.

My parents booked this trip for the family and it was good. The food was okay but got boring after a while. The pool across from the water slides had the best staff. We loved Jonathan, Kristine, and Wendy. Wendy planned the games and was the sweetest person I have met. She is such a hard worker and makes connections with all the guests. Jonathan and Kristine always made sure we were good and had drinks. Kristine always knew I wanted coffee and came up to me everyday. I want to give them tons of hugs and I will remember them forever.

Actualmente estamos en el hotel. Está todo fantástico.. pero la noche es muy aburrida, entendemos que estamos en pandemia pero por lo menos podrían poner música para bailar en el teatro exterior. Hay show, pero son acrobacias , circo y magia. Lo cual es divertido para otro momento y no para unas vacaciones solo adultos dónde queremos bailar y divertirnos Saludos

One star for customer service. Second star because the pool was enjoyable. Checking in was a nightmare. We booked the room for 3 but Riu had 2 in their systems. They were not accommodating at all. I had to speak to 5 people and wait 4 hrs later to get someone to finally assist. One of the representative told me it’s the first time for everything when I told her I’ve never had an issue at the Riu. How rude! Thank god for Ruben who was a life saver and expedited the process with reservations and got us checked in with a room. The other representatives and manager did not help what so ever. They didn’t care to check us in and told us to wait for hrs without a room. Almost all of them spoke in Spanish and act like they don’t know English. Worst experience ever! I love the Riu but not this Riu. Won’t go again.Room was spacious, food was decent. Bar and jerk hut was enjoyable. Staff at the bar was great.

This is not a 5 star resort! Don’t be fool by the travel agency or other website that calling it a 5 star. This resort lacks the facilities and amenities to call it a 5 star resort. We stayed here for 6 days. Soon as you arrive you can tell buildings are very run down compare to other resorts in the area. After we entered our room we saw the washroom was flooded from the leak in the sink. Credit must be given to the staffs for quickly fixing the problem. Mini bar didn’t have any liquor, only 2 beer cans and wine. Other than the main buffet most of the restaurants were closed and only opened one per night. If you’re expecting great local cuisine you will be very disappointed. Most of the food were western buffet food that lacked any flavour. Only jerk chicken by the beach was any good. In terms of facilities there isn’t much option other than few swimming pools and water park. Also power outlets aren’t suitable for western plugs so make sure to bring power adopters or you will have difficultly charging your phone. And don’t get me started with the key fobs. Those cards don’t work and we were locked out few times a day and had to keep replacing our cards. Only reason I’m giving it a 2 star because staffs were very friendly and very helpful.

The service here was great All the way around buy our favorite was Jonathan our bartender at the pool by the waterside! He always was excited to see us and made such good lemon drops among other drinks! Come see jonathan! Book here you wont regret it!

I stayed here mid November 2021 with my best friend. I read almost all hotel's bad and good reviews before booking. I wasn't sure as it was the cheapest for adults only in Punta Cana 935$CAN. I don't regret at all. The staff was very nice with us. Our cleaning lady(Yeni) was always trying her best to make our stay memorable. More shampoo for my friend, beer, pops, water in the fridge everyday. Pools are opened 24 hours and there are a lot of lounge chairs under shade or on plain sun at the pool and beach. I recommend downloading the Riu app to have any help to the room. We ordered more towels and drinks and within the hour it was delivered while we were out. We didn't have any trouble with the room except sometimes there was no water around 4-5pm for half an hour. We really appreciated our stay. I will go back next year for sure.

Second day here. Posted reviews on first day since we had so many issues. Today I’m posting a final review on this property. Do not book here. Very lousy service. Staff don’t speak other languages. Filthy elevators, hall ways to the rooms, very smelly rooms. Cleaning service sucks. We had to call 3 times today till they showed up at SIX PM?? There no towels for hours by the pool. Pool showers were down for hours also. Filthy beach front and no good service. Most staff we met who service towel area and reception areas are rude. They seem very frustrated and short tempered. Pool entertainment is mediocre. No professional set up for DJs. Food is not bad but it the best. We waited 6 months for this vacation and were excited to see Punta Cana. What a disappointment. Oh by the way, the view from our room is a swamp and pile of garbage in the corner. Truly an experience I’ve never had before and pray will never have it again. Save your money. This place looks nice and so do the rooms. Paid for an ocean front room but the ocean was a mile away. Food is less then average. Some of the cooks do not prepare the food properly. Be careful with your personal items cause the staff there are stealing it. Especially your cell phone and pass ports. Especially house keeping and items left in the safe deposit boxes in your room. Water pressure to take a shower is horrible and be prepared to take showers with bottled water since the water in your shower has moments that it doesn't work. Save your money and stay some where else.

Experiência péssima! Os cartões para abrir a porta do quarto simplesmente não funcionam. Você reclama, os funcionários mentem que o problema será resolvido, mas nada muda! Não consigo entrar no meu quarto há dias. Só consigo quando um funcionário aparece e abre pra mim. Imagina ser impossibilitado de usar o seu próprio quarto? 🤡😡😡😡 E o problema não foi somente comigo. Várias pessoas reclamando na recepção e nada é feito! Não volto nunca mais!!!!!

Mala organización. La atención al cliente excepto Saúl, lamentable. Nos cambiaron de habitación 3 veces, debido a diversos problemas. Antes de venir había leído en comentarios que mucha gente tuvieron que cambiarles de habitación, y estando allí hablamos con varias personas y también les ocurrió lo mismo, debido al estado de las habitaciones, y al ruido que hacían los extractores del techo que no dejan dormir. Hemos estado una semana, pero hemos perdido 3 días en cambio de vacaciones y continuamente en recepción para intentar solucionar los problemas. Varios días sin toallas para los clientes. Un día nos quedamos sin agua en todo el hotel, no nos pudimos duchar…en definitiva un caos. Ni las instalaciones del hotel ni el personal están a la altura de un 5 estrellas. Es la primera vez en mi vida que pongo un comentario, no me gusta hablar mal de nadie, pero lo que me ha pasado en esa semana ha sido la peor experiencia de mi vida viajando. Jamás volveré

I came to this hotel 4 years ago and enjoyed my time but this time, everything was upside down. The rooms, the service, drinks, entertainment, everything is terrible this time. The first room I got, toilet was leaking, shower drains clogged, sofa was ripped like it was from 50 years ago. When I called the reception, they didn't pick up even when trying for hours.After they gave us new rooms, the new rooms lock mechanism didn't work. So every time we wanted to go in our rooms we had to go to reception and ask for someone to open the doors. Overall all the hallways and common areas were dirty. I don't recommend this hotel to anyone.

El hotel está muy dejado, las duchas para lavarse la arena de la playa no sirven, los pisos y hotel en general muy sucio. Nos abrieron 4 veces la habitación sin al menos tocar primero, los empleados muy groseros para atender, atendían de mala gana.Nadie usa tapabocas solo es obligatorio ponerlo al ingresar a los restaurantes. Rescato la comida era muy deliciosa.

The positives- food is great, a good variety of themed restaurants offers something different to eat nightly. Beach is beautiful, the water is not calm, I enjoy the waves, it's not too rough though. (If you want calm waters you'll need to go to La Romana.) The gym is fairly decent, it's a Hotel gym afterall. Service is good, very clean.The negatives- the showers. The showers on the beach to rinse sand off either trickle water or don't work at all. Rarely you'd get a decent amount to rinse yourself off. The shower in the room are, well, pathetic. You need a certain type of precision to find the right spot for the temperature, either you're using boiling hot water or border line cold water. Also the water pressure is sad, one night I didn't even have water for two hours, and most of the time the water just trickles out, it's enough to get the job done though.After two weeks here I'm happy I came and would definitely come back.

En general bien, pero el dj cromo era lo peor misma música todas las noches y en el día en las piscinas igual se repetía demasiado. Además esta bien que la disco la cierren por pandemia pero mínimo en el escenario principal deberían tener música hasta al menos las 3am para que la gente baile, pues están al aire libre no tiene sentido que los comedores estén llenos y no exista diversión nocturna.

Average hotel, but not bad. Stuff is really friendly. Just want to let you know you can use Uber in the area! Avoid taxis with their overcharged prices and their lies. For the Uber all you need to do is to walk behind the security gate! And don’t forget to tip the driver cause the ride is really cheap.

Everything from the service, to the food, the lovely resort, the shows, the drinks, and even the management. Best of the Best I've experienced since travelling. Special thank you to the management Juan, and Victor. I will have to write another in depth review. I honestly had so much fun and I love the people. I love how peaceful it was at the resort, so much that there are two hotel cats. If you want amazing excursions, get it from the hotel, I saw dolphins, took pics with a monkey, parrot and so much more. The hash browns are the best, so was the steakhouse (burger). My partner and I tried to extend our stay but we could not!

Viendo la respuesta y el comportamiento de la dirección del hotel bajo a una estrella. Y porque no se puede poner menos. Los protocolos covid son inexistentes en el hotel. No hay distancia de seguridad de ningún tipo y únicamente se lleva mascarilla a la hora de coger la comida. Luego hay 500 personas en una piscina de menos de 20 metros cuadrados muchos de ellos abrazados. En el teatro de los shows 0 distancia de seguridad y todos sin mascarilla. Pero tienen la desvergüenza de decir que no abren la discoteca por el covid. Y luego la única alternativa que eran las fiestas nocturnas en la piscina van y no permiten poner música en las piscinas alejadas de las habitaciones. Pero si 10 metros más lejos. Se inventan la norma. Y luego la norma que ponen por escrito de prohibirse bañarse por las noches esa se la saltan. Aparte de fiestas en las habitaciones con música con lo cual hace todo más incoherente. Sino quieres fiestas abre discoteca o da alternativas organizadas. Pero no uses el covid como excusa cuando no se cumple nada de las medidas covid.

Bom, tem defeitos como qualquer resort. O que mais me incomoda são os horários de funcionamento dos restaurantes, iniciam as 18h e encerram as 22h nem todos abrem todos os dias, acredito que seja pela pandemia. É um resort grande muitas pessoas hospedada, mais nada que incomode.

No es un hotel cinco estrellas! Desde el día uno que llegamos tuvimos inconvenientes con las llaves de la puerta que no funcionaban, luego de 5 idas a la recepción nos solucionaron el problema, la habitación de tres, son dos camas y un sillón … las duchas rotas, no reponen los artículos del baño! El trato del personal muchas veces muy mal sobre todo el encargado de la recepción, algunos mozos, y personal en general ! Son pocos los alegres, buena onda y serviciales ! El servicio de animación muy bueno por momentos, en otros brilla por su ausencia! Los espectáculos nocturnos, en su mayoría malos ! Los restaurantes muy malos, los temáticos tienen lo mismo que el general servidos de otra manera!No recomiendo este hotel !

Good atmosphere at the pool bar, generally the 3 resort bars give you good drinks with a tip, that's fine. The regular food, the best was the steakhouse but an appointment is required. The regular breakfast buffet. Good customer service, but the resort needs maintenance, especially in the hygienic services of the front desk, all the toilets clogged. Also missing more nightly musical shows on weekends. People were left wanting to dance, especially Russian tourists. I'd come back just for the pool bar.

We had an amazing deal! Awesome staff ( except the lady that sat us at the steak house... She wasn't having a good day.) The food at the buffet and the Indian restaurant were pretty good. The Asian restaurant was average, we didn't care much about the steak house. Ultimately, staff was great, beautiful views and decent entertainment!

Hotel classificado como 5 estrelas mas muito longe disso. Quartos grandes mas mal cuidados e não nas melhores condições de higiene. Comida variada e em quantidade em qualquer dos muitos restaurantes presentes. Funcionários alguns irrepreensíveis outros claramente a fazerem-se ao dólar esquecendo que muitos europeus aqui vêm passar suas férias. Não fica bem na foto com esta preferência de alguns funcionáriosna procura do dólar preterindo os clientes europeus em favor dos americanos só pelo facto que dão maisgorjetas que rapidamente desaparecem nos seus bolsos. Na recepção funcionários que parece que estão a fazer frete deixando de atender a meio para fazer outras coisas e nada esclarecedores quando solicitada alguma informação inclusive de localização dentro do empreendimento visto este ser enorme, respondendo vagamente e as pessoas que se desenrasquem. Na loja de produtos no seu interior preços exorbitantes. Na praia que serve este hotel não se vislumbra qualquer tipo de segurança nem meios de socorro em caso de dificuldade na água. A não repetir sem nenhuma sombra de dúvida.

O hotel é lindo. Mas o atendimento deixa muuuuito a desejar. Começando pela estrutura que é super mal sinalizada então nos primeiros dias ficamos meio perdidos. A recepção demorada e sem nenhuma cordialidade. Sobre a questão dos testes do Pcr ninguém sabia nos informar e iam falando qualquer coisa. Foi um stress!! A camareira teve dias que esqueceu de repor as toalhas e outro sabonetes. Nunca voltaria.

Alguns restaurantes e atrações fechados por conta da pandemia mas mesmo assim maravilhoso! Quarto amplo, limpeza diária, funcionários atenciosos principalmente no restaurante principal. Muitos bares, piscinas, banheiros em pontos estratégicos, jardim espetacular. Único detalhe, o ralo do banheiro entupido mas também não atrapalhou. Recomendo!

So this isn’t my first time in Punta Cana. I have visited 3 prior until my current stay and I am truly disappointed. Before I get to the negativity, I will say the resort is beautiful, the pools are beautiful, the beach is beautiful. The employees are great as well. Now, I love the food in the Dominican Republic, but the food at the resort is really disappointing! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner! I celebrated my birthday today & there was no option besides the buffet to eat at. All the “nicer” restaurant (like the steak house) are closed today. We all know it gets really humid in the rooms, so the AC runs consistently, however when we asked for blankets nobody came to deliver blankets. It’s Memorial Day weekend and I was expecting more than what was offered.

Very friendly staff & great drinks. Pools are clean & there’s a lot of different pools to choose from. Awesome shows to watch every night, but that’s really the only fun thing to do. Not many food options & the food isn’t that great. Only 2 restaurants were open a day, & one of them was the same exact food everyday. We were waiting for the steak house all week & were told we didn’t need a reservation, but the day we finally got there they said we needed one. We had to order food outside of the resort multiple times because we didn’t feel satisfied with the meals. Rooms also weren’t the cleanest, as we found a few stains on the sheets.

The resort was very clean and gorgeous. The staff was kind and accommodating. The pools were amazing and it was right on the beach. The room was just a regular room, had everything you needed. The food was okay, the only restaurant really open was the buffet, there was 2 other restaurants but they were by reservation only. The drinks were good but you could tell they were watered down, but you can always ask for an extra shot and it’s unlimited drinks so it’s worth it. The only thing that was difficult was the language barrier, some of the staff don’t speak well english so you might have a hard time communicating with them but they know the basic words. The live entertainment was so much fun, we went to karaoke night and the staff there was funny and making jokes to get people to sing. I felt very safe there and the staff came in everyday to clean your room and gave you extra stuff if you needed it. Plenty of bars were open, the only bar that wasn’t open was the swim up bar which was a bummer but there was 2 poolside bars right there, you just have to get out of the water and put on a mask to get a drink. The masks weren’t required by guests on the grounds, mostly just when walking in the restaurant and in the bar area. Also be aware that if you go to get food at the buffet, they have a dress code so you can’t come in to get food or a snack in a bathing suit. For everything included, i would recommend this place cause it’s a good price and very comfortable.

Great hotel! Great for young adults. However what did upset/concern me was the monkey on the beach. I experienced a very frustrated monkey that was clearly exhausted and thirsty and was trying to drink from peoples cups on the beach. It’s heartbreaking to see and isn’t fair that they’re on a leash all day in the heat when they should be out in the wild. Please end the picture taking with animals, since it is cruelty.

I’ve gone to this hotel twice.On 2018, it was a awesome hotel, Surrounded with precessional staffs and amazing variety of foods .But This year you could see egregiousdifferences all over the services. Although the staffs are still very nice and respectful and hotel is getting enormous with a stunning ambiance , the verity of foods are no longer expected and no enough security in the hotel! Walking among the corridors is frightful specially in midnight. Somebody drunk, attached my friend and I literally ! This size of hotel has to have a group of security and this situation is not satisfactory at all . I’m not going there anymore and no longer recommended particularly for those who want to travel alone!

La atención es bastante buena, en la comida hay bastante variedad y es buena, lashabitaciones amplias, muy cómodas, cada una de las locaciones estupendas, *lo único que no me gustó* fue que el olor de algunas fundas de almohada, sí bien las cambiaban, tenían un olor desagradable.Así que cuando vuelva allá llevaré mis propias fundas. Salvo que mejoren el lavado de las mismas.

El resort esta bastante bien,es para solo adultos,muchas piscinas de diferentes tamaños(como unas 7 o 8) y para diferentes actividades,una de ellas tiene toboganes en plan parque acuático,2 o 3 piscinas repartidas por todo el hotel con barra de bar,barbacoa en la entrada de la playa con perritos y hamburguesa y con pollo a la barbacoa para chuparse los dedos,campos de voleibol repartidos por el hotel,variedad de restaurantes temáticos,y por supuesto el restaurante buffet con amplia variedad,la playa limpia de algas,la animación agradable,la gente en general en República Dominicana es bastante agradable,todos los días alguna fiesta o evento q te hacen la estancia fantástica,posibilidad si hay una fiesta en otro hotel te llevan sin coste en autobuses y te regresan como pool party etc etc....el Sport bar 24h abierto,tanto comida rápida como bebidas,discoteca Pachá dentro hotel no es muy grande pero para pasar un rato si te quedan fuerzas despues de todo el dia,copas incluidas tambien........en definitiva se pasó rapidiiiisimo,ah!!!también gimnasio q no visite pero también disponible.,Cuando haces el check out te dejan una sala para dejar las maletas hasta q te vengan a recoger y poder seguir disfrutando de todos los servicios del hotel,playa,piscina,bufet,copas,todo,incluso si te fuiste a darte el último chapuzón a la playa y quieres bañarte tienen una habitación para esto....vamos en general todo perfecto,

I was recently at the Riu Republica. March 6 to 13. Place was amazing from food to staff. I would recommend this place for sure. Big resort with lots of pools so if you want quiet you can find it. Great food everywhere. Beach is also great. Plenty of shaded areas on the beach and at the pools if you need it. Got to say Jerk Chicken hut was my fav lunch place just wish they had some side dishes but you can go to the buffet close by for that. Rooms were clean/spotless like the rest of the resort. Staff cleaning all the time. About half hour from the airport.

Un hotel regular, diseño de los 70's repleto de gente, con pocas cosas para hacer. Ofrece buena y abundante comida, y tal vez por eso se encuentran muchos huéspedes obesos, procedentes de norte america y otros países. La playa, absolutamente repleta de gente, contrasta con los hoteles vecinos. Tiene varias piscinas igualmente llenas. En la noche ofrecen espectáculos sencillos, amenizados por sus empleados. Las alcobas, aseadas y cómodas,igualmente de diseño muy antiguo. El personal, amable, muy informal y poco preparado. En general diría que es un hotel que debió ser bueno, y hoy diría tres estrellas, con un precio razonable.

Very nice resort with multiple choices of activities to stay busy relaxing and entertained. All-inclusive with large restaurants and overwhelming amount of delicious choices. Many cafes and small restaurants to hang out with friends for coffee, tea or a drink during the day. Adults only so definitely distinctive vibe. Variety of pools and bars to choose from. Beautiful beach with miles of soft white sand to enjoy long walks.The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were great, well maintained, tastefully decorated with mini bars to serve yourself a drink anytime you wish. The resort even though quite large was very clean and well organized.Hotel staff was helpful and friendly and seemed to be always in a good mood. Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed.

Absolutely loved the hotel, it is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! The staff are fault less and work extremely hard to make sure your stay is perfect. The entertainment team is excellent they are very friendly and don't hesitate to bring you up for.a dance. Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone, loved every minute of my stay. Cant wait to go back.

What i can say more ?Just wonderfulVery big infrastructure, with full amenities and clean resort. Our room was spacious and quiet.Our favorite was Ariel Rodriguez, who works at the pool as a waiter. What a beautiful meeting. Always smiling and listening, respectful. Thank you for everythingThe advantage of this hotel is the staff: smiling, cheerful, friendly, helpful, respectful and attentive. They do everything to make you smile. Always in a good mood.We loved everything : the pools, the bars, the entertainment and especially the beach. What beautiful walks. This resort is new and very well laid out. It was clean and the staff were awesome. There are lots of pool chairs and places to eat. Their beach frontage is very small though so getting space and a chair can be hard. The beach itself is super nice; although Bavaro area is nicer. You can walk for hours though! It was pretty bumping with people looking to have fun. The off site pool party they took us to was unreal! Food was pretty good but the jerk chicken shack by the main pool is by far the best food you will have an a MUST for lunch.

Overall this place is great. It's not super crowded and easy to find a lounge chair at the beach or one of the many pools no matter what time you go down there. Food is great and staff is friendly. Rooms are fairly standard from other resorts I've been too. The property is beautiful and theres plenty if options for dinner and drinks afterward.A few minor inconveniences happened which is why I only rated 4 stars. This morning there was no power, no water and no air conditioning. Yesterday the toilet in the room broke. However everything was fixed promptly so as I said...minor inconvenience.All in all I would recommend. It's an adult only resort with water slides, what more could you ask for?

Stayed at RIU for a week, no where close to a 5 star resort.Cons:- Getting a table at a restaurant can be a hassle. Some restaurant managers act like doing a favor taking the reservations.- Poor room service - Sometimes you have to call them multiple times for something as simple as a bottle of water.- Your room can be far away from the beach, its a huge resort.- In general not so great customer service.Pros:- Nice rooms- Pristine white sand beach- Multiple pools and barsAdvice to management - Please improve the services provided to the customers rather than just working on the marketing.

We have stayed at many of the RIU sites, this was our first at Republica. The room itself was nice however the grounds are filthy, dirty cups and food plates left all over. Limited pool staff serving drinks. It's literally an 8 minute walk to the beach. And then when you get to the beach your packed in like sardines because the beach property is very small. The only positive I can say is there are multiple food options outside of the typical buffet. If you like to feel like your on spring break and party in the pool this is the resort for you.

Complejo hotelero de gran tamaño, confortable, aunque en las habitaciones de triples te ubican un sofacama bastante incómodo en vez de una de las camas.La comida es muy variada y abundante aunque nada sorprendente de sabor. Los espacios son aseados y acondicionados para un buen descanso o para pasarla bien con amigos o en familia.La atención del personal es buena a excepción de casos puntuales que fueron groseros o servicio dependía de la propina que se daba.

Buenas habitaciones, la comida y la piscina pero el personal de Recepcion necesita mejorar mucho ya que son los que dan la primera imprecisión y pareciera que hasta cierto punto le molestara tu presencia (bueno quizás sólo fue con nosotros ya que mi esposa y yo somos dominicanos) . Deberían aprender más de Génesis una joven de servicio al cliente que fue muy amable y de mucha ayuda.

Great resort. Highly recommended. Clean, well organized, with amazing food and very friendly staff. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. The resort is designed for everyone’s interests, from Pool, to water park, to activities, to beach and ocean. Best part was their accommodation to our travel schedule. Our flight didn’t leave till 8 PM, and even though the checkout was a noon, they allowed us to stay at the resort with full access to everything till our transportation was ready to pick up.

We took our inaugural family girl's trip in May/June of 2019to Punta Cana and stayed here. Great resort. All-inclusive and adults only which was perfect. Multiple pools and bars to choose from. The food was good, especially the jerk chicken hut near the beach entrance. Beautiful beach. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were great also and also the dance club inside the resort was fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely book this resort again if we decide on another trip to Punta Cana.

This hotel has everything that one would want to have on vacation. 8 pools water slides and a beautiful beach. The food here is amazing! The people who wrk here are all friendly and ginuwine. I've been 2 times in the past 3 months. Definitely very vibrant and fun place to visit. I am sure I will be back for a third sometime soon.

For the money it's quite adequate. However, in no way is this a 5-star resort. There is no room service, pools close at 6pm, room keys get deactivated all the time, waiters routinely forget orders, steakhouse serves mozzarella sticks, and there is nothing to eat at 5pm except cold hamburgers and hot dogs at the sports bar. Having said all that,there are a lot of pluses: the beach is very nice (no problems finding a lounge chair, even in the shade), food is plentiful (except 3:30-6:30), housekeeping is quite decent, all rooms have balconies, and bar tenders are on the ball. Cold food is good and fresh; hot food needs works. Lobster was way over-salted, "top sirloin" was barely a "bottom round", and most of the hot food at buffets is not very hot. We walked out of the steakhouse because of how slow and incompetent they were. It was probably designed as a 5-start resort, but is certainly not being run like one. We enjoyed some shows (Michael Jackson is by far the best) and parties (Neon Party is great) and a had a good time at the beach (you have to accept that you will be approached by vendors selling goods and services quite frequently; and there is no wait staff at the beach). With a few improvements and chef training this could be a 5-star resort, but for now it's 3-star with potential.

I would of given it more than 5 Stars.Service is very good, staff is friendly and always ready to make your vacation better. They don't worry about the tips as it's shared betwen all of them.The food is great and tasty, but lacks variety.The rooms as big and very clean. No smell or humidity.The beach is clean, water is clear and the sand is amazing. It's probably one of the best in the area.I would definitely return.

This hotel is very good for younger people, We visited in January 2020 and loved it! A good place to go if you are on the younger side as the place is rather lively- I would say the majority of people there are younger (think 22-35ish).The rooms are clean and the resort is very well maintained. The food was really good- in my opinion the steakhouse and the Italian were the best. They don't take reservations for the a la cartes so you have to get there for opening or else you usually end up waiting around an hour to get in Otherwise, there are a couple of buffets if you rather not wait where the food is still pretty decent.The beach was great- there's a sandhill along the beach with a nice breeze and lots of trees for shade. We never had an issue getting a chair and we were there during the busy season. The only downside is this area was very wavy which made us spend less time than we would usually at the beach and more by the pool. The whole stretch of the beach seemed to be like this all week.The waterpark is so much fun- Unique touch for an adults-only resort which we both enjoyed.Customer service was fantastic all around.I would definitely recommend it!

Food is bad and the drinks are horrible. Only thing we could drink is the one kind of local beer available. For instance the rum punch was grenadine and rubbing alcohol. None of the sit down restaurants were ever open and the buffet is disappointing at best. The room and grounds were nice and so was the beach, but the food and drinks were so bad it is hard to describe. Think of it as maybe half as good as a cruise ship buffet. I think it is away they keep people from over eating or drinking is to make it unedible. Victor the manager on duty said he understood and could do nothing.

La experiencia en el hotel deja mucho que desear. La primera noche nos robaron en la habitación, algo de efectivo y un celular. Ante esto la respuesta fue que nadie había entrado a la habitación fuera del registro de la tarjeta de huésped. No pudimos evidenciar cámaras de seguridad. Ese mismo día nos dimos cuenta que nos dieron una habitación completamente alejada de la zona de restaurant y playa, cerca de la parte que guardan los útiles de limpieza por lo que hay que caminar bastante, además de que en esa zona es que alojan a los residentes nacionales, como uno especie de estrategia para no “ligarnos”con extranjeros.

We visited in 2017, when they first opened and went back in 2018, because we enjoyed ourselves that much!Now, we are returning in February 2020 and absolutely cannot wait to get there!We were even upgrading from ocean view to ocean front last time.... for FREE... for being returning customers!THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!Staff is AMAZING, pools, room,food and entertainment is equally Amazing. First time I've been to an all-inclusive resort where I would definitely come back. Great staff and service.No complaints at all about the food and there's so much variety it's astonishing.I definitely recommend this resort especially to those who appreciate not having kids around.It sounds mean but it's nice not having to listen to whining children and not dodging kids in the buffet area.The beach is beautiful. Soft white sand, clear and warm water.

This is an excellent resort at a great price. The property is impeccably maintained and gorgeous. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff is friendly and always helpful. The buffets have a lot of tasty options for all diets (I'm vegan). The beach is great and the entertainment is a lot of fun. We were able to book adventurous excursions on the beach. I had actually browsed 1 star reviews before coming (idk why) and realized after the first day that they had no bearing on my experience. I highly recommend this place.

4/5 En general un buen resort, cabe destacar que hay un bar abierto las 24 horas (sin embargo hay poca variedad de comida, igualmente ayuda con un snack de hamburguesa-hot dog).Tiene la disco Pacha al interior del resort que tiene una fiesta entre las 11 y las 2 am, es entretenida sin embargo la música es repetitiva y es en inglés.En cuanto a la atención las personas son muy amables y el recinto es bastante grande a veces me tardaba 10 o 15 minutos en caminar de la habitación hasta la playa 😮.Bonito paisaje y en lo personal tomamos un tour externo que era Isla Santa Catalina.En actividades la Pink party es recomendada al 100%.Tiene toboganes de agua son 6 en total que están abiertos en horarios específicos.

La comida muy buena y el servicio también. Jardines bonitos y bien cuidados.La construcción del hotel me pareció horrible no pega nada en la zona. Le faltan tejados de caña y adaptarlo más al medio en el que se encuentra.Si queréis tranquilidad en la playa es el hotel ideal, ya que es el penúltimo hotel de la playa, y si te gusta la aventura puedes ir caminando hasta el final de la playa (son sobre 6 km) por la arena, no te cruzarás con nadie en todo el trayecto (es una zona virgen, sin ningún hotel).Al llegar al final de la Playa hay un hotel a medio construir, y en la parte de atrás de este está la playa de Macao, es una playa preciosa a la que van los locales. Tiene varios chiringuitos para comer, comida de la zona, pescado recién capturado y langosta.Para regresar al hotel te recomiendo, que le preguntes a cualquiera de los nativos de la zona, que te acerquen al hotel y ellos lo hacen encantados. Cobrando eso sí regateales el precio.

Es un hotel nuevo, muy bien organizado. Si bien tiene 1300 habitaciones todo queda cerca. La animación es estupenda, todo el día y en la noche también.Si quieres pasar tranquilo, descansar, también es posible. Todos los empleados muy atentos y preocupados en atender a los huéspedes.Un agradecimiento especial a Miguel del Altagracia en los desayunos muy atento. Fuimos a pasar nuestro cumpleaños con mi marido y sin decir una palabra nos arreglaron la habitación con globos, dejaron champaña y bomboncitos y los dos días!. Un gesto muy bonito del hotel. Muchas gracias. La playa es muy buena, el agua transparente, estuvimos 10 días y todos estuvo espectacular. Nada de zargazo. Si buscas sombra, hay mucha y muy buena. Muchísimas reposeras y en muy buen estado. Cuidan muchísimo la playa, vasos reciclables y están permanentemente recogiendo lo que dejan los huéspedes.Excelente estadía.

Desde el primer día la atención fue excelente, las instalaciones del hotel son espectaculares, la comida es exquisita con una gran variedad, el servicio en los bares y restaurantes son magníficos, el servicio de limpieza es impecable.Para las personas que se quieren retirar a un lugar de descanso solo adultos es sumamente recomendable. This is a place is for adults only, the best place to go with your friends to party. You can be at the pool at anytime of the night, the beach was awesome, drinks and food everywhere. Loved the disco, can't wait to go back. The only tiny complaint that I have is that the sports bar snacks sucks and that the electrical outlets in our room didn't work. Definitely worth your money and time, I'll totally recommended.

It is good. The food is Gretat. But, I world not say It is exceptional. The Staff is amazing. Everyone is friendly and helpful.We have faced a few obstacles. Our room 161 was not cleaned and its dryer almost died when we arrived.Fortunately we were offered another, much better room.The usual also happened, our door keys have discharged also a few times.Nonetheless, when you go to the lobby you can get help in Spanish, English, Russian and many other languages. So, knowing all that I would still recommend this hotel even though it is not connected with other Riu hotels, mainly because if you walk c.a. 1 km via the beach you can find yourself in an amazing solitudewithout many tourists (further from Hard Rock Hotel).Thanks,Paweł

Had a lovely time. But I'm torn between the fact that more staff should speak English but I was in the Dominican Republic. The pools were plentiful and so were the drinks. The food was okay and the one and only gift store had all of your needs but was overpriced. Too many different vendors on the resort you can be overwhelmed with who to purchase an excursion from. Also all meat pork breakfast buffet no Turkey. The made to order omelets were good. This was a decent stay and I would have stayed one more day if possible!

First time staying,will definitely be back,the resort is beautiful, the staff is amazing and the entertainment was good as well. It is all exclusive and adult only. The room was very cute, with a balcony. Three was entertainment nightly and the food was to die for,there were about 6 bars that you could get drinks from as well as about 10 restaurants. One of the bars had snacks and sandwiches for the late night eaters, so there was something to eat 24hrs a day,food placed was huge, there were several pools and a big water slide as well, they're were places to workout outside ade all as a full gym. The staff were always cleaning so the place stayed spotless. If you go to Punta Cana, check them out,you won't be disappointed

Travelers Beware! If you are used to 5 star high end resorts you will be greatly disappointed coming to the Riu Republica. Anyone who has rated this a 4 or 5 star must have very low standards. Unfortunately I listened to those reviewers and ended up having a horrible vacation at Riu Republica.As soon as we got to the resort we were very underwhelmed. The front desk people were rude and unhelpful. As we made our way to our room, we immediately noticed how uncleanly and dirty the resort was. There was ketchup on the stairs by our room and in the hallway (which remained there for 4 days), the floors of the resort looked like they had never been cleaned, and the resort itself looked like an old motel. We made our way to our room and were beyond horrified. There were stains all over the mirrors, paint and mold in the shower, sunscreen all over the door handles and the light switches, brown marks all over the walls, and stains on the sheets. We went back to the front desk right away and they gave us another "upgraded room". We then went to check out this new "upgraded" room and it was just as bad. We realized in that moment that it wasn't going to get any better than that. It was just simply a dirty, rundown resort. We had to sleep in blood stained sheets (see picture) the entire week. They did not change our sheets once, even though we complained, the pillows are the size of a placemat and we constantly had to ask for new towels. There was alcohol leaking in our room all week and we gave up asking them to clean and fix it as well.The Pool areas are nice but again, weren't spectacular. The beach was just okay. No seaweed issues but the waves were always rough. If you are looking for a calm beach, this is not the place to go. The yellow and red flags were up the entire week.Good luck trying to get any kind of buzz on, on this resort. The drinks are so watered down. No one in our group of 6 friends could get drunk or even get a slight buzz on. One night I had 8 drinks in a row ( and I'm a lightweight) and didn't feel a thing. We spoke to other travelers on the resort who expressed their frustrations with this as well.I am not picky with food at all but the food at this resort was sub par. The only decent food was the pancakes in the morning.Staff was pretty unfriendly for the most part and entertainment lacked.No one goes out of their way for you and 99% of the staff does not speak any kind of English. I have been to the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana and the shows there were on a completely different level compared to this resort. I felt like most nights I was watching a high school talent show.Again, if you are used to high end resorts do not travel to Riu Republica. You will be in for a huge disappointment. It is a 2 or 3 star at the most. Wish I had listened to the other bad reviews before going there. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. And this trip was definitely a lesson for us.

It is definitely worth every penny! Friendly staff, amazing food in the buffet and in themed restaurants, quick and efficient check in. The view from our balcony is stunning. Nothing beats having your morning coffee on a balcony, watching the sunrise over the beautiful beach. Staff is very hard working and do their best to make sure you are happy and having fun. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Great resort. Stayed for 1 week but would have stayed 2 because I loved it. Huge selection of great food so you may have trouble with trying not to overeat. This resort is really big but almost perfectly managed. My only squabble was the non functioning jacuzzi. Very clean, rooms and resort as a whole. All the personnel were very helpful and friendly. I would come back in a blink. Beach is amazing.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is mainly served buffet style with the exception of, I believe, two restaurants. There is a lot of variety and the food offered changes slightly on a daily basis. The pools all have different activities offered and play different music throughout the day, so each has its own environment and feel. There is nightly entertainment which is great! I saw an amazing magic show. I stayed for two weeks so I saw some of the shows twice. The beach is beautiful, and as a bonus while staying at the Riu Republica you may visit all other nearby Riu hotels so you are able to walk the length of the beach and visit the other resorts.

This hotel totally deserve the 5 stars.There are plenty of swimming pools to choose from. Some of them have a bar so it makes it easier for people to enjoy the swimming time.The rooms are comfortable, clean and in perfect condition. There is also a liquor dispenser inside the room just in case you don't feel to go out, and the mini bar fridge has enough options too.The staff is very friendly and helpful, really. And they are always working to make feel guests comfortable. At the restaurants and bars they are always around in case we need something.Food was really good and the restaurants we went were very clean, always with good options and elegant. And they are big enough to never feel crowded.For thematic restaurants was different than in other hotels because they don't use the regular reservation schedule. You have to go and when is full they start giving a ticket with the time you should return.This hotel is adult only and that's a big benefit and they take advantage of that, swimming pools are usable at any moment although bars inside are closed. There was also a night foam party. Drinks are available 24/7 at the sports bar and also some snack.The beach is clean and beautiful, it has some weaves so if you are not a good swimmer I don't recommend to go very far in the water.The water park is not something really big, just 4 slides but is really funny and I consider is good enough for a hotel in this price range.In general I could say this hotel is too much when we consider the price, the whole structure is new, well maintained and clean. A hotel like this is normally much more expensive so I was really surprised and amazed by not really finding any problem.Totally recommended.

Great place for a relaxing time as couple.Pros:The hotel is very targeted at young adults with a variety of parties and events offered all week.The food was good, especially the steak house.The staff is very nice and offers a good service.The beach was one, if not, the best beach I have witnessed. There is a tone of chairs and and even more shade thanks to a forest of young palm trees (see pictures).Cons:The pools close at 6PM and the shows don't start before ~9PM, leaving an empty period where you can't do anything else go to super. It would be nice if the pools, at least one was open late.Speaking Spanish is a very very strong asset when taking with the staff.While the food was good and the buffet had a bunch of choices, it was not as good as you would expect for a hotel of the level as it often tasted bland (at the exeption of the Indian and steakhouse restorants).Summary:A great hotel for young adults looking to party or to relax.

Needs some improvements. We are here now. For several days in a row from 9:30AM no beach towels available. Gym - no towels available after 10:00, for 2 days there are no cups for water as well. Hairdryer in the room is not working properly. We called the reception, and they promised to send someone. We are waiting for the second day. :-) Anyway food is great. Restaurants are great - no reservation needed which is a huge plus. And there are a lot of friendly stuff. We were here in May 2018 and it was better. We would love to come back, but please fix such basic things. Now it is 2 stars, happily will change itto higher once at least we get a hairdryer :)

Came here with my husband for our honeymoon and just loved it! So many activities and the service was great! We spent a lot of time by the pool or on the beach where Luis Miguel & Octavio made our drinks. Specifically those two staff members were very friendly to us and we enjoyed talking with them. We have just returned from our two week stay at Riu Republica. We booked and travelled with TUI from Manchester UK , me and my partner are both in our 30’s.On arrival at Punta Cana airport the queues are really long took us more than an hour to get through immigration.Once out of customs we got a private transfer to the hotel, we booked it with Tui. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the hotel.On arrival we were greeted at the hotel with a cocktail, beer and mimosas which was well needed after a long flight. Receptionist Ricardo was efficient and in 10 minutes we were on our way to our room.The resort is big so the walk to your room can be 10 min or so depending where you are , we were down in the block above the restaurants which was a perfect location.The room was big, the bed was huge, I'm not sure what size it was, but you could fit 4 people in it. In the room you can also find a sofa, dresser, ironing board , full size iron, hair dryer and a safe, coffee machine and an alcohol dispenser on the wall with vodka, whiskey, gin and rum. On the wall, next to the bed you can find two USB sockets to charge your phones without plug adaptors. I still used my plug adaptor as it charged my phone much faster than the USB. The bathroom had a big double walk in shower that has a frosted glass panel through to the bedroom, not a great idea, especially when the other half gets up for a wee at night and the bathroom light lights up the bedroom too.The resort itself is very big but clean and well looked after, you will always see plenty of people cleaning the corridors or communal areas and maintaining the gardens.There is a big selection of pools, there are 4 along the beach front 2 with pool bars and twowithout. The pool to the left is the quieterand the one on the right is the party pool. There are also 3 pools next to the water park. I do not recommend going into the party pool as there are people who get in at 9AM and get out at 6PM, the water is more yellow than blue in the morning! Some people are worse than animals, disgusting!! It's an adult only hotel, but sometimes adults can be worse than children.The beach is amazing but the sea is rough as we are in the Atlantic side. Take a walk to the left hand side of the hotel, the beach that way is lovely and you will feel like you are on a deserted island.It is definitely not a 5 star hotel, 4 maybe but not 5. The food in the main buffet restaurant gets a bit repetitive so it's good that you have some other restaurants to pick from. All the restaurants are good but non is really fantastic. My favourite place for lunch was the jerk hut located on the beach, it is absolutely fantastic and I can not recommend it enough.The drinks are ok, the one thing is that they are not done to the same standard, once you will get the best cocktail in your life, 5 minutes later you will order the same thing from the same bar bit it will be something that you don't even want to drink. Cocktails = hit and miss.All the staff are lovely, most of them didn't speak English but they will try to have a conversation with you. The one thing that I didn't like was that I felt forced to tip to get a good service. I've stayed at many Riu hotels and I've never experienced anything like this, a bartender, waiter would look away if he/she didn't see a $ in your hand. It's an all-inclusive hotel so I want to get the same service when I tip and when I don't, I've already paid for my holidays…The staff that I would like to mention are:-Bar Latino: Junior and Brianna - they made the best cocktail and always gave you a 5* service- Main Restaurant: Sylvia, Hipolito, Esmeralda - great service, always polite and smiling- Entertainment Team: Barbie for the most amazing bingo competition ever, Caramelo for always dancing and always smiling, Wanda - great personality and plenty of laughter with her. Jonathan - thank you for your fitness classes, my girlfriend did enjoy them very much.It was an enjoyable holiday,there is much room for especially if you have been to any different Riu Hotels

Pros:- friendly and fun staff- comfortable rooms- beautiful property (very clean!)- great excursion options- fun shows and entertainment just about every day and night- beach accessCons:- alcohol options...while a premium open bar service is advertised, the alcohol brands are not what would be considered top shelf. The mixers are also different so you're better off sticking with the very sweet champagne or drinking the alcohol straight up ok the rocks- each restaurant is buffet style (limited service available at select restaurants)Overall, a great place to stay for the price. Definitely take advantage of the excursions!Tip: When booking a double, ensure you get double beds. We got 1 king bed which was worded as a double (see picture)

Absolutely exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to plan another vacation here! The women and men working here do a fantastic job keeping it clean considering this place is HUGE! Food was better than expected too (saw lots of people complaining online) and for eating literally everything we could there was absolutely no sickness afterwards. I cannot day enough about the staff though, they were welcoming, informative and everyone was so kind. Gift shop is awesome here too!

We had an amazing time here. Everything you could have wanted without leaving the resort. I walked to scuba diving and water sports. I loved they had scuba lessons in the pool for my non scuba boyfriend to try it out.The beach was beautiful and there was tons of seating for everyone.I loved they had tons of pools for every occasion.If you felt like quiet, there was a pool. A party, of theres a pool. The food was pretty good and the drinks were plentiful.We went on an excursion to go out shopping which was decent. The drivers were a little reckless imo. Loved the slide. The rooms were clean and the temperature was easy to control in there. It appeared there were tons of activities going on all the time which was entertaining.We had a free photo session which was fun and we bought the package because they were beautiful.The grounds were meticulous. And the staff friendly. I highly recommend.

We were greeted by Gabriel getting off the bus checked in and he took us up to our room told us all about restaurants and locations gave us lots of tips and info he was great. Thanks again...Room was great.Beautiful decor. The girls who cleaned the room were great... Greatly appreciated all the beautiful towel floral displays that were left in the room bathroom and hallways....Roberto took care of us every day at the quite pool 123 🙌🙌🙌👊bam.Hisservice was full of smiles keep up the great fast service..We went to the Italian ,steak house and the Asian restaurants we really enjoyed the Italian.But I must say hands down we loved the buffet,from the breakfast to dinner so much selection. Our server everyday was STARLING cant say enough about this young man polite curtious and can speak English very well..Looks after your every need..I told him it wasour anniversary just to tell him. Starling and the other staff sang happy anniversary to us and gave us a cake which was really good..Starling made our meals ever more enjoyable and unforgettable Thank you Starling...Entertainment was really great..dancers were top notch. They put on great shows..DJ was also a great...Beach was beautiful big waves which were really fun. Sand was clean and soft.Only suggestion would be give thebeach merchants a hut to sell from so they aren't so in ur face. Well, if we are talking about open buffet, it is totally perfect. Such a huge and a great variety of things to try is pretty awesome. Animation, which started after lots of people have got to the hotel, is very nice and cool. Parties are also very cool.Minuses:- Robberies which were during our staying- rooms were not cleaned ( our floor wasn't wept; a dirty glass was provided after the cleaning; beds were not made)- beach after NY party was dirty for four more days and even more- glasses taken out of rubbish are washed and used again for cocktails and other drinks- dirty napkins are provided to the guest left by previous guests- cutlery is not renewed after the previous guest and you have to "steal" them from another table- beach towels are not always freshPluses:- open buffet with a huge variety of food- personnel is really great. I wish I knew the name of one girl (waitress) with a very good English and a good attitude.- rooms are quite big- safe to keep things- pools are cool and bars

HUGE resort,you can get turned around at first because it is so big. My overall experience was it was okay, wouldn't go back. I think with such a large resort,you lose a lot of quality.Pros:-Adult Only-Water Slides!!! So fun.-Large Beach-Pools with bars on both sides of the resort-Free activities like foam parties at night and shows-Jerk Chicken stand is the only good food there, get that!Cons:-Didn't have one good meal other than the jerk chicken place (which is really just grilled chicken)-99% of sit down restaurants for dinner are still buffets-Deserts were made of gelatin except for a place that sub par ice cream-Drinks was not good, a lot of pre-mixed. Sangria was not sangria, wine is bad, same drinks taste different depending on who makes it, etc.-Customer service not great, not very friendly, much better at other resorts.-The Mama Juana was not good. I've had it elsewhere and had liked it before. Very warm and had a numbing effect to the mouth.-Some of the pools were filthy. Cloudy water and almost hot. Understand there are a lot of people, but it was to the point others left for other pools because they didn't want to get in.Again, was over all fun, but wouldn't go back.

Es un hotel espectacular, siempre los chicos muy amables, siempre te informan de las actividades del hotel, los restaurantes tienen muy buenas comidas y lo mejor es que no necesitas hacer reservas, el bar siempre está abierto y con todos los licores a la orden. Los cuartos y los baños siempre los mantienen limpios y si necesitas algo lo resuelven de inmediato...Estoy feliz de haber llegado a este hotel donde la gente es muy atenta y sobre todo que no admiten niños y es como que hay paz 100%.La playa es limpia y tranquila.Sería bueno que cuando hagas tú reserva indiques que si pueden darte un cuarto en el ala este porque en el centro del complejo está el teatro y hay bulla hasta las 11 aproximadamente si es que te acuestas temprano.

En general bien, super limpio todo, muy cordiales todos los empleados. Los restaurantes temáticos deberían ser a la carta como el gourmet y ofrecer jugos naturales (el gourmet fue el único que me encantó, son 2 con el mismo nombre) los demás son cumplidos solo por curiosidad fui a cada uno. Pero el q vale la pena son el East y West mismo nombre. Extrañé mucho el jugo de naranja!!! Increíble q no haya...

Had a great 2 weeks here and was a great hotel, but sometimes the food can be a feat to find something you like in the buffet but you do in the end.I loved the other restaurants as in the steak house, Indian, Chinese and Italian ones as was nice to go somewhere different each night.There can be times when it was noisy especially the Americans there and when the beach party is on on a Sunday.We was on the quieter side which is the beach end the other side is if you like the partying side always something going on over there.The trips via the reps were very pricy at about £160 per person on the boat trips so if there is a few of you it will cost you a fortune.There are local ones who are about bit I suppose you do that at your own risk.As a whole loved my holiday the weather was hot and the beach was great too.The waves were a bit rough at times but I think they are during the raining season.

Riu Republica exceeded expectations. Their hospitality is second to NONE. Everybody we came into contact with made sure we had the best time. The restaurants are good, but all buffet style except for the steakhouse. The food stayed hot and the selection was great. There were a lot of pools which never got too crowded all with different themes so you could choose and be comfortable. There was some kind of entertainment every night which kept our experience fresh. The entire resort was gorgeous and well done. My group of 6 really had no complaints. Oh, it is pretty big so there is a lot of walking. We didn't mind it. We just stopped at one of the many bars on the way to where we were going. I am definitely going back to this Riu Resort because there's still so much that we didn't have a chance to do.

We spent 6 days in mid July at the Hotel Riu Republica, and had a wonderful time at a beautiful resort.The Pros definitely outweighed the ConsPros: incredibly clean resort, beautiful and clean beach, wide variety of activities available night and day, rooms were very nice and spacious with great amenities including a very nice over sized shower, the balcony was nice to sit on and enjoy a cup of coffee in the mornings or a night cap, the property felt very secure, the guest services staff was incredibly friendly and helpful.Cons: most of the staff was very accommodating, however there were some who seemed to be bothered when asked for specific items, the restaurants were very nice however the menus didn’t vary day to day, good for those enjoy a night life atmosphere however the volume of noise from the disco was continued late into the night.We would definitely recommend this resort.

WHAT A GLORIOUS TRIP. The food is to die for, the scenery being right on the Atlantic is just jawdropping and they have tons of events on a daily basis to keep you busy. Estamos alojados... el personal excelente. Limpieza muy buena. No tienen en cuenta que hay personas a las cuales no les gustan los espectáculo estilo USA... para eso voy a Miami. El señor que habla no dice ni una palabra en español... grita en ingles!!!! Ayer para fiesta año nuevo lo mismo!

Uno de los mejores Hotel Resorts que he visitado. Un buffet exelente, sin ganas de eir a algún restaurant. Buenas bebidas y cócteles. Podría mejorar el size de las habitaciones doble. No dejen de ir al pool party en el Riu Bambú y a los toboganes.
